TSM Supports Oxfordshire County Council with Young People’s Centre Makeover

Last month, the TSM team was proud to join forces with Oxfordshire County Council and fellow members of the Oxfordshire Highways Alliance to transform the outdoor space at Wolvercote Young People’s Centre (YPC).

The centre plays a vital role in the Wolvercote and Cutteslowe communities, providing a safe and inclusive space for children and young people, as well as hosting local groups such as Age UK, Tiger Martial Arts, Autism Family Support Oxford (AFSO), and The Harbour Self-Directed Learning. However, over time, the outdoor area had become overgrown and unsafe – particularly for visitors with mobility challenges.

As part of a collaborative volunteer day, teams from M Group, TSM, BGG Garden & Tree Care, and Cashelton Construction came together to give the space a much-needed refresh.

The work included:

• Clearing overgrown vegetation and removing tree stumps
• Replacing a damaged tarmac path with topsoil for future planting
• Removing trip hazards and repairing perimeter fencing
• Deep cleaning the sports pitch area

The result is a cleaner, safer, and more accessible outdoor space that the local community can once again enjoy.
