Merry Christmas from TSM!
Celebrating a good 2021 and looking forward to 2022!
TSM would like to wish all customers and staff a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Here’s hoping for a peaceful and prosperous 2022, with life returning to some degree of normality following the last two years’ events.
As per usual, TSM is not closing down over the Christmas period. For us, it will be business as usual, although due to network embargos, there will be a reduction in planned works, so things will be somewhat quieter. However, we will be on-call for emergency works and attend jobs booked over the festive season.
In keeping with the festivities, we will be holding a Christmas Jumper Day, allowing staff to wear their jazzy Christmas jumpers, collecting money for charity in the process. Watch out for the pictures!
Looking back over the year, it’s been a good year for TSM, and the business has continued to move forward. We’ve won some major contracts, continued to meet the needs of existing clients, launched a major rebrand, invested in new equipment enabling us to maintain our position as one of the UK’s foremost providers of leading-edge traffic management solutions.
Perhaps one of our most significant achievements was being selected as a Preferred Supplier for Coventry UK City of Culture 2021. We were greatly looking forward to supporting the City during its important year of celebration and have been involved in several key events, including The Walk and Abundance Parade, both of which involved complex logistics and extensive planning to ensure the safe passage of all concerned.
We were also pleased to work once again with Northamptonshire-based construction firm, Winvic Construction Ltd, working nationally on various projects including on-going involvement in the Northampton Gateway, a major business park development next to Junction 15 of the M1. Other notable contacts include projects for Nottingham County Council, Via East Midlands, Dene-Tech Services, Kier Utilities, a number of high-value telecoms sites, and an extensive range of small civil works through an expanding customer base.
Our major rebrand saw us introducing a clean, fresh new image across all areas of our business, including workwear, road signage, stationery, stickers and website, as well as new livery for our fleet of vehicles, most of which are less than 12 months old. With its bright green colour, chevron design and ’24 Hour Traffic Solutions’ strapline, we believe it highlights our size, capability and operational expertise in providing safe, seamless traffic management services and solutions at any time.
As lockdown eased, and roads got busier, we saw traffic reaching pre-pandemic proportions. To help keep traffic flowing around roadworks, we invested in a new breed of intelligent portable traffic signals for use with roadworks and infrastructure changes. Both Hollco RC2 and SRL ADS signals are equipped with advanced technology capable of reacting to traffic flow and congestion more intelligently than standard portable signals, ensuring greater efficiency, consistency, and reliability.
Committed to running a sustainable business that operates to the highest professional standards, we developed an Environmental Management System that follows the ISO’s recommendations for best practice as we work towards our ISO 14001:2015 certification, the internationally recognised standard for the environmental management of businesses.
Whether working on major schemes, small civil works, utilities or telecoms, we’ve continued to follow the latest industry standards, with safety at the forefront of our designs. Our CAD design team plan all projects, ensuring they comply with Chapter 8 and NRSWA guidance, providing ECI support when requested. Works are delivered via our bespoke Customer Portal, providing an end-to-end solution, from quotation to completion with real-time site updates and customer notifications. Whether projects are large or small, we have one priority: ensuring the safety of all concerned through effective pedestrian and traffic management.
We look forward to 2022 as a year of consolidation and progress, continually moving forward in our aims to become more sustainable, more environmentally friendly, and more cost-efficient to benefit our clients, the public, and our planet. We are excited about the future and the possibilities it holds, with a keen eye on how we continue to drive innovation and progress whilst reducing our carbon footprint.
