TM solutions for low-speed Street Works

As a specialist in low-speed Street Works, we can handle the whole gamut of requirements, from facilitating highway maintenance and repair through to schemes for new junctions and other highway improvement works. This includes TM planning, technical support, plus Local Authority Approvals and Licence applications, dealt with by our dedicated planning team. Depending on the nature of the works, we can supply attended sites, such as road closures with marshals to ensure site access is controlled, or, hire of equipment, such as portable signals. In addition to the standard TM layouts, we also provide temporary road markings, VMS units, verge mats for works vehicles, walking mats for pedestrians, no parking cones and specialist Temporary Signal Systems.  We regularly undertake stop/go and mobile works to support gully cleaning, street cleansing and arboricultural works.

Due to the extensive and varied variety of networks managed by Local Authorities, we have to be highly adaptable and able to assess each requirement on its merits. Whilst we provide a quick turnaround TM plan service (same day if required and within 2 hours for emergencies), our operatives are trained to ‘think on their feet’, undertake site assessments and adapt sites if required, with full documentation of alterations documented through our bespoke real-time customer portal. 

By establishing a strong local presence, a local depot and dedicated contract staff, we can manage all Street Works requirements, ranging from out-of-hours and call-out emergency works to larger planned scheme work and the provision of day-to-day crews.

Whatever the nature of the Street Works requirement, we will handle consultation, design and planning, along with all statutory paperwork. Working in partnership with our customers and stakeholders to deliver services to meet specific needs, planning TM layouts to minimise delays and the impact on road users with 24-hour call-out and 24-hour maintenance programmes in place, as required.

All our operatives are fully accredited and trained to National Highways sector standards, giving us the expertise and flexibility to handle all types of work, with dedicated office and field resources providing the proven capability to deal quickly and effectively with any issue.
