Spreading the Cheer with Christmas Tree Collection for Birmingham Hospice

At Traffic Safety & Management, community engagement goes beyond road safety.

The team from TSM fully embraced the festive spirit with a heart-warming initiative last weekend. In a display of community support, we volunteered both manpower and resources to collect 6,000 Christmas trees across the region, raising a staggering £140,000 for Birmingham Hospice’s Treecycling 2024.

The initiative not only helps in the environmentally friendly disposal of trees but also serves a higher purpose - supporting Birmingham Hospice.

On both Saturday and Sunday, we formed part of a collective team of around 250 volunteers who traversed Birmingham neighbourhoods, helping residents keen on contributing to the cause donate their trees with the knowledge that the proceeds would go to Birmingham Hospice.

Birmingham Hospice provides essential care and support to individuals and families facing life-limiting illnesses. They care for those in their Inpatient Units, provide day services in their Living Well Centres, and support families with personalised bereavement counselling.

Martin Sheridan, Director, commented, “To raise £140,000 and collect 6,000 trees, the partnership between all the volunteers and Birmingham Hospice was to raise vital funds that make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need”

Traffic Safety & Management's Christmas tree collection for Birmingham Hospice serves as an inspiring example of corporate social responsibility and community engagement in the heart of Birmingham.

If you missed the Christmas tree collection but still wish to contribute to Birmingham Hospice, there are several ways to get involved. Visit www.birminghamhospice.org.uk for information on how to make a donation or to learn about upcoming community events.
