Scheme Supervisor

The Scheme Supervisor will play a pivotal role in assisting the delivery team to implement safe systems of work across various sites. Responsibilities include ensuring adherence to established methods and standards while actively elevating safety benchmarks. Key aspects of this position involve leading and motivating a team, conducting comprehensive site inspections and audits to proactively identify potential issues, and enhancing standards through training initiatives.
A traffic management scheme supervisor is responsible for overseeing the implementation and maintenance of traffic management plans on worksites, ensuring safety and compliance with regulations. This role involves leading a team, conducting site assessments, and coordinating with various stakeholders. Key responsibilities include ensuring traffic flow is maintained, implementing safety protocols, and managing resources effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervising Traffic Management Operations: Ensuring traffic management plans are implemented correctly, including setting up and maintaining signage, barriers, and other control measures.
Ensuring Safety: Conducting site assessments, identifying potential hazards, and implementing safety procedures to protect workers and the public.
Coordinating Resources: Managing personnel, equipment, and materials to ensure efficient and effective traffic management operations.
Maintaining Compliance: Ensuring all traffic management activities comply with relevant legislation, industry standards, and company policies.
Communication and Liaison: Communicating with team members, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure clear understanding and coordination.
Problem Solving: Addressing any issues or incidents that arise during traffic management operations and taking appropriate action.
Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of traffic management activities, including site inspections, incident reports, and resource allocation.
Qualifications and Skills:Relevant Qualifications: You will preferably be qualified to TSCO level or 12a for a lengthy period of time.
Experience: Experience in traffic management operations and a proven ability to lead and manage teams.
Technical Skills: Knowledge of traffic management principles, safety regulations, and relevant equipment.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members, clients, and other stakeholders.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
Organsational Skills: Ability to plan, organize, and manage resources effectively.
